IN THE LAST 20 YEARS I’ve written about everything from golf and Scotch whisky to the latest in business trends and corporate profiles – more than 4,000 feature stories in over 100 national, international and regional magazines including Reader’s Digest, Canadian Business, Canadian Geographic, Progress, Saltscapes, Atlantic Business, East Coast Living, Gardening Life, Halifax Magazine, Outdoor Canada, OptiMYz and The Chronicle Herald.

I’ve also worked with more than 150 corporate and government clients – writing advertising copy, providing web content, designing trade show displays, brochures and audiovisual. My corporate clients have included Intercontinental Hotels Group, Aliant, Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, ExxonMobil, TimbrMart, The Greater Halifax Partnership, Peter Kohler Windows, Sempra Atlantic Gas and The Nova Scotia Departments of Tourism, Natural Resources, Economic Development and Environment. I’ve scripted, produced and directed corporate videos for PanCanadian Petroleum (Encana), Sempra Atlantic Gas, Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, Photopoint.com, The Halifax Regional Municipality and others, and I co-founded Exit9 Pictures where I currently work as a documentary film producer.

In other roles over the years, I have been a reporter for the Chronicle Herald, an advertising and public affairs executive with William Alexander and Associates Ltd. and P.I.R. Advertising, a founding editor of After Dark and Wednesday Magazine and a communications consultant for a number of political candidates and MLAs. I also created and manage the Atlantic Canadian tourism website oriented.ca.

In my spare time I like to compete in triathlons (where I consistently finish at the bottom of the pack), play music with my talented friends, travel with my wife Cathy, and indulge my passions for skiing, the outdoors and cooking.
